Tasmin Ellis

Tasmin Ellis

Tasmin is a paralegal who assists in the conveyancing department. She has a Pitman Legal Secretary Diploma with CILeX

She is confident and hard working as well as being a quick learner and good communicator. In her spare time, she likes to relax by watching films, listening to music and enjoying arts and craft activities.

Michaela Connor

Michaela Connor

Michaela is a Paralegal in the Wills and Probate department, where she handles Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and estate administration.

Michaela has been with Palmers Solicitors since 2008 and has successfully completed a CLT Specialist Paralegal qualification.

In her spare time, she enjoys ‘retail therapy’, spending time with her family and friends and is a keen reader, with autobiographies a favourite.

Michaela is a Dementia Friend.

Gina Newman

Gina Newman

Gina Newman is Chief Operations Officer at Palmers Solicitors, assisting the Directors with day-to-day business-related issues.

She is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and is responsible for recruitment, staff induction, the performance management system and advising the company on employment-related policies and changes in HR processes.

Gina enjoys the variety of her role and being able to have a direct input into the management and future development of the company.

She joined Palmers Solicitors in 1989 as a Legal Secretary, becoming Office Manager ten years later, HR Manager in 2002, Practice Manager in 2018, and Chief Operations Officer in 2025. Reflecting her commitment to her role and to the wellbeing of our team, she is also a qualified Mental Health First Aider (MHFA).

Away from the office, Gina enjoys gardening, wine and spending time with her five cats.

Elena Nicolaou

Elena Nicolaou

Elena joined Palmers Solicitors in November 2020 as Head of the Commercial Property department, based at our Basildon office.

Elena qualified as a Solicitor in March 1996 and specialises in regeneration and development in the context of property transactions, to include residential schemes, commercial schemes and mixed use schemes , as well as all aspects of commercial property, compulsory purchase and local government matters.

Elena undertakes the following types of work:

  • Regeneration and Development Agreements for both residential and commercial property schemes
  • Overage, Clawback and Option Agreements
  • Acquisitions and disposals including complex conditional contracts
  • Portfolio Sales and Acquisitions
  • Business leases (non-contentious)
  • Bank and private securities over property
  • Agricultural land
  • Charity land
  • Schools and education establishments
  • Compulsory Purchase
  • Local government property matters.
  • All types of commercial property management work
  • Easements and Wayleaves

Her practice covers a variety of sectors, private and public.  Elena’s knowledge of the public sector is strong, having worked  in and for  local government during  her career to date.

Away from the office…

Away from the office, Elena is an avid supporter of Spurs and also enjoys entertaining, theatre and cooking. She enjoys reading when she has time and often catches up with some good reads when on holiday.

James Foley-Bronze

James Foley-Bronze

James Foley-Bronze joined Palmers Solicitors as a Paralegal in the Residential Property team, based at the Rayleigh office in August 2020 and has subsequently been promoted to a Conveyancing Executive.

He is experienced in dealing with residential sale and purchase transactions in respect of both freehold and leasehold properties, as well as Transfer of Equity matters and remortgages.

Prior to joining Palmers Solicitors, James spent five years in residential property roles at other law firms in the region.

Away from the office, James enjoys song-writing, performing at gigs and spending time with his family and his cat, Leo.

Lauren Attewell

Lauren Attewell

Lauren is a Solicitor within our specialist Construction and Engineering Law Department.

Lauren read Law at the University of Greenwich before being called to the Bar in 2018. She completed her Master’s Degree in Law in 2020 and qualified as a solicitor in January 2024 after completing her training with Palmers Solicitors.

Lauren’s experience of working in-house at a large Construction and Engineering Company coupled with her training as a Barrister enables her to apply her knowledge of civil procedure and the law as a key member of our construction team.

When not working on Construction matters, Lauren enjoys spending time with her daughter and her family.
