Shannon-Louise is a Paralegal in our Wills and Probate department. She holds a law degree (joint honours) and has six years’ experience as a private client paralegal.
Her role includes Will drafting, probate administration and preparing Lasting Power of Attorney applications.
In her spare time, Shannon-Louise enjoys reading, gardening and spending time with family and friends.
Having qualified as a solicitor in May 2013, Rachael specialises in private client matters and is experienced in the preparation of Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney for both personal and business use.
She graduated with an LLB (Hons) Law degree from Anglia Ruskin University in Chelmsford where she also undertook her Legal Practice Course and is currently working towards becoming a full member of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners).
She specialises in drafting Wills and Codicils, drafting and registering Lasting Powers of Attorney, registering Enduring Powers of Attorney.
Additionally, she handles probate applications, Inheritance Tax issues, and estate administration.
Away from work, Rachael helps her family who run several local stage schools and when she isn’t watching or preparing for a show or competition she is kept busy with the latest addition to the family – a mischievous puppy!
Colin is an Associate Solicitor in our Litigation department, promoted to the role in 2024.
Initially qualifying as a solicitor in August 2003, Colin has substantial experience representing clients in both courts and tribunals and specialises in a wide variety of civil and commercial litigation.
Prior to arriving at Palmers, Colin headed up the employment department at a reputable Suffolk firm where he also led a successful Debt Recovery Team, and he has also formerly acted as a litigation partner.
He can provide advice and assistance in most litigation matters, with particular expertise in:
Landlord and tenant disputes (residential and commercial)
Neighbour disputes (including boundary disputes and nuisance claims)
Neurodiversity
Partnership disputes
Personal injury and clinical negligence
Planning prosecutions
Professional negligence claims
Road traffic law (both civil and defence of criminal prosecutions)
TOLATA claims
He is also our neurodiversity champion, both in terms of offering services to neurodivergent clients and enhancing the awareness, development and support of neurodiverse individuals and policies within Palmers.
When not at work, Colin enjoys time with his three children and teaches science and music (not at the same time!) Colin has his own guitar tuition website. He is also amassing a collection of motorbikes; seven in his garage and one at the office (so there is always room for one more!)
Leanne Livingstone joined Palmers Solicitors in 2016 as a Secretary in the Family department. She was promoted to Paralegal in November 2019 and Executive in February 2023.
Leanne assists with divorce matters, financial and children act matters.
She completed the CLT Specialist Paralegal Qualification and holds the CILEx Diploma for Legal Secretaries (Level 3).
Leanne has also qualified as a Mental Health First Aider (MHFA), demonstrating her skill and willingness to support others and promote wellbeing in the workplace.
Away from the office, Leanne enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Jade joined Palmers in January 2023 as a trainee solicitor having spent the previous 19 months in the residential property team of another Essex practice. She is currently undertaking a combined training seat in civil and commercial litigation.
She holds LLB, LPC and LLM qualifications and says she enjoys working at Palmers where every day is different. She believes her patience, determination and perseverance are ideal qualities for her position.
Jade’s ability to analyse and prioritise are key skills which help her achieve her workplace goals.
Away from the office, Jade loves trying out new recipes, having time with her family and renovating her property.
Brooke is a Legal Executive at our Thurrock office and was promoted to Senior Associate in February 2023.
She has worked within this field of law since 2006. Brooke is a qualified paralegal and is currently studying for her Licensed Conveyancers qualification. Brooke specialises in residential property, dealing with the selling of houses and flats, transfer of ownerships and re-mortgages for clients.
Brooke is known for her friendly, reliable reassuring and practical approach which clients value.
In her spare time, Brooke enjoys music, immersing herself in a wide range of non-fictional literature and spending time with friends and family.
