An older client specialist, Lorna Boorman joins the Palmers Private Client team to meet her aspiration of becoming an Associate, having already started to build her own client base and caseload.
Get to know Lorna
An alumnus of Anglia Ruskin University, Lorna dived straight into her training contract in Chelmsford.
She worked for 10 years as a solicitor locally before coming to Palmers in June 2023.
With a long legal career in Essex, Lorna brings with her many valuable connections and an in-depth understanding of the local community and its needs.
Outside of work, Lorna is a dedicated mum to three young children – and a keen fitness fan. In addition to running, she regularly takes on obstacle courses and kayaking routes. She also enjoys photography and is often found with a camera in her hands.

Joining Palmers in search of more private client-focused work, Lorna has thrown herself into more client contact and a varied caseload with everything from Wills and probate to estate planning and administration.
She is particularly skilled at assisting clients planning for later life and supporting older clients.
“The team structure at Palmers really works for me,” said Lorna. “It’s so much more collaborative than the work I’ve experienced before, which has really increased my knowledge and helped me to help my clients.
“Running a file from start to finish is fantastic. I can really get to know clients and understand their needs, and making sure that they get what they need – whether that be a plan for later life, a tax-efficient Will or support through applying for probate.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed my work at Palmers so far, simultaneously immersed in a wide range of cases and going back to the basics of what makes a great solicitor.”
