We are inviting local people to visit our offices later this week for tea, coffee and cake to raise funds for Alzheimer’s Society as part of Alzheimer’s Awareness Month.
We will be opening the doors of ourBasildon office on Town Square on Thursday 19 September 2019 from 12pm until 4.30pm.
Members of the team, including legal specialists, will be on hand for an informal chat at the event, including for discussions around the steps people can take to protect their own interests in older age, such as Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs) and Wills.
Tim Steele, a Partner in the Private Client Department at Palmers Solicitors, said: “As more of us live longer, so too are increasing numbers of people affected by Alzheimer’s and dementia.
“The fact that these conditions often lead to a loss of mental capacity means that they create some significant legal issues.
“At Palmers Solicitors, we are keen to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s and dementia, as well as the legal steps that people can take to protect themselves and their families.
“That is why we are keen to welcome local people to our offices on Thursday for tea, coffee, cake and an informal chat.”
