In the build up to Christmas the team at Palmers have been hard at work fundraising for local charities.
We raised a massive £2,145 to help ‘Give a Gift’ to children in care during the festive season. The money was raised by inviting clients, contacts and colleagues to join us for a mince pie on Wednesday 5 December 2018.
The funds raised will be used to buy stars for Thurrock Council’s Christmas tree at Lakeside. Each star costs £15, meaning that Palmers has raised enough money for 143 stars, each of which will help ensure a child receives a present this Christmas.
We also invited clients and contacts to a carol concert at Holy Trinity Church in Rayleigh on Tuesday 11 December 2018.
A collection at the concert raised a total of £631.23, which will be split between the Polly Parrot Appeal for children’s services at Basildon and Thurrock Hospitals and the Rayleigh Town Museum.
The previous day, our Partner, Lee McClellan, travelled to Treetops School, a specialist school in Grays, to announce the winners of the firm’s annual Christmas card competition, which sees designs by four pupils included in our firm’s Christmas e-card.
