We have been commended for our response to the Coronavirus pandemic following an annual Law Society audit that has seen the Lexcel Quality Mark for practice management awarded to us once again.
The independent Law Society assessor who audited us offered particular praise for the way we adapted to continue serving businesses and individuals in South Essex and beyond over the last year.
He said: “Palmers Solicitors should be commended for the multiple Areas of Good Practice identified during this assessment and for the excellent way they have adapted to the challenges of the Coronavirus pandemic.”
We already had robust business continuity procedures in place to ensure it could continue serving clients in the event of disruption but began putting in place Covid-specific plans as early as January 2020 with the formation of a dedicated working group.
This meant we had the necessary processes and infrastructure in place to make a near-instant move to home working when the first lockdown was announced.
As a result, we have been able to continue with business as usual throughout the pandemic, notwithstanding some necessary practical adaptations, at a time when demand for certain legal services has rocketed.

“That meant it was vital that we were able to continue working throughout the pandemic without disruption, especially given that lockdown created several distinctive legal issues that affected a large number of individuals and businesses.
“The renewal of our Lexcel Quality Mark is particularly special this year, given the challenges we have all faced over the last 13 months or so.
“It is a credit to our team, who have shown great commitment and dedication to our clients, despite the challenges.”
