Palmers Solicitors, a leading Essex legal practice, has announced a significant restructuring of its leadership as part of its ongoing growth strategy.
For over a decade, Palmers has been guided by a Management Committee (MC), which has helped streamline decision-making and support business expansion.
However, as Palmers has grown, so too has the need for an advanced strategic leadership and management structure – one that meets rising client expectations while improving operational efficiency.
In response to this need, the practice is introducing a new Management Board (MB), designed to enhance long-term planning and high-level oversight.
Commenting on the restructure, Carey Jacobs, Director at Palmers, explains: “We are seeking to provide even greater focus on meeting the increasing demands of a successful & growing business and to ensure the high, professional level of service offered to existing and future clients goes from strength to strength.
“I’m delighted to be moving into our new-style Management Board with my MC team-mates and to us making a real success of the restructure”
Alongside the restructuring, several key leadership promotions have been introduced to drive the company’s next phase of growth.
Ada Sula steps into the role of Chief Finance Officer (CFO). Ricky Valks moves from his former finance brief and has been promoted to Chief Development Officer (CDO), a newly created role, where he will focus on securing high-profile clients and leading strategic business growth and growth projects.
Finally, Gina Newman, who has been with Palmers for over 35 years, becomes Chief Operations Officer (COO), overseeing the company’s operational efficiency, HR, and future projects.
“This is an exciting new chapter for Palmers and I am really very proud to be taking up my new role, having started with Palmers in the 1980s as a trainee secretary.
“By creating a new Management Board and providing the resources and leadership to drive growth and innovation, we are positioning the practice for continued success as part of an increasingly complex and competitive sector and we are showing how seriously we take the continued development of career paths for all who join our Palmers family,” said Gina Newman.
“We are all very excited about the future and confident that these changes will support our goal of becoming a more agile, focused, and effective organisation.”
