Colin is an Associate Solicitor in our Litigation department, promoted to the role in 2024.

Initially qualifying as a solicitor in August 2003, Colin has substantial experience representing clients in both courts and tribunals and specialises in a wide variety of civil and commercial litigation.

Prior to arriving at Palmers, Colin headed up the employment department at a reputable Suffolk firm where he also led a successful Debt Recovery Team, and he has also formerly acted as a litigation partner.

He can provide advice and assistance in most litigation matters, with particular expertise in:

  • Consumer disputes
  • Contractual disputes (including debt recovery)
  • Education matters (including admissions, exclusions & discrimination)
  • Restrictive Covenant Disputes
  • Landlord and tenant disputes (residential and commercial)
  • Neighbour disputes (including boundary disputes and nuisance claims)
  • Neurodiversity
  • Partnership disputes
  • Personal injury and clinical negligence
  • Planning prosecutions
  • Professional negligence claims
  • Road traffic law (both civil and defence of criminal prosecutions)
  • TOLATA claims

He is also our neurodiversity champion, both in terms of offering services to neurodivergent clients and enhancing the awareness, development and support of neurodiverse individuals and policies within Palmers.

When not at work, Colin enjoys time with his three children and teaches science and music (not at the same time!) Colin has his own guitar tuition website. He is also amassing a collection of motorbikes; seven in his garage and one at the office (so there is always room for one more!)

Colin Adamson – Thank you for your help, support and understanding you showed us on Tuesday. We were very nervous to meet you on the day of our consultation, but you made us feel very relaxed and listened to right from the start. We are so pleased we that we have found someone who relates to us and someone who clearly is understanding of Autism, we felt that meeting you Colin was simply meant to be.
