Essex based solicitors promote new Head of Litigation

Essex-based law firm Palmers Solicitors has promoted Erin Duffy to the Head of the Litigation Department, recognising her significant contribution to the litigation team over the past six years.

In the new role, Erin will oversee Palmers Litigation department, leading the delivery of services while shaping the future direction and growth.

Erin said: “I have a lot of big ambitions for the department and I am looking forward to putting these into action in my new role.”

“I’m grateful for the support I have received throughout my time at Palmers and I am glad to be able to work alongside such dedicated and experienced colleagues.”

“This is an excellent opportunity for me to build on the department’s strong reputation and uphold the high standards of client care we deliver,” Erin explained.

Since joining Palmers in 2020 as an Associate Solicitor, Erin has progressed rapidly through the firm, becoming the Head of Personal Litigation in 2022 before taking on her recent leadership role.

In her time at Palmers, Erin has handled a wide range of matters, including property disputes, adverse possession and contractual disputes for both private and commercial clients. However, her primary focus has been on growing the firm’s contentious probate specialism, which she was delighted received recognition in the 2026 Legal 500 listings.

Supervising Director of the Litigation Team, Luke Morgan, praised the promotion as a “great step forward for the litigation department.”

“Throughout her time at Palmers, Erin’s impact on the team has been exceptional – we are very excited to have her overseeing the Litigation Department,” Luke said.

“Erin is well placed at the helm of the Litigation Department and this promotion is a recognition of the substantial contribution she has made to our clients and wider team,” Luke added.
