Palmers Solicitors, which has offices in Basildon, Rayleigh, Thurrock and South Woodham Ferrers, is inviting landlords to attend a free seminar on Thursday 2 November 2017 from 4.30pm to 7pm at South Woodham Ferrers Council Offices.
The firm’s in-house specialists will provide an overview of residential lettings from inception through to collection and possession, as well as landlord-targeted fraud, Stamp Duty Land Tax and mortgage issues.
Meanwhile, Kathy Peach, Chief Executive of the Citizens Advice Bureau for Basildon and Thurrock, will offer guidance on the replacement of Housing Benefit with Universal Credit.
Finally, Robert Wybrow and Adam Cohen of Maynard Heady LLP Chartered Accountants will discuss the latest taxation legislation affecting landlords.
Tim Steele, a Partner at Palmers Solicitors, said: “Here at Palmers Solicitors, we have decades of experience of working with landlords from across Essex, so we know it can be a challenge to stay on top of all the legal and tax changes.
“That is why we are keen to encourage landlords to sign up for this free seminar, which will give them the basic information they need to ensure they are compliant with the key changes affecting their portfolios.”
Places at the seminar, which takes place at South Woodham Ferrers Council Offices, Champions Manor Hall, Hullbridge Road, South Woodham Ferrers, Essex, CM3 5LJ, are strictly limited and so landlords are encouraged to sign up today by visiting: https://palmerslaw.co.uk/events/.
