Clients and colleagues at Essex-based firm Palmers Solicitors are celebrating the success of trainee Lauren Attewell, as she accepts a Solicitor role within the firm’s specialist Construction and Engineering Law department from January 2024.
An accomplished professional, Lauren was called to the Bar in 2018 following a degree in Law at the University of Greenwich – completing her Master’s Degree in Law prior to joining the firm.
Coming to Palmers in 2020 as a Paralegal, Lauren soon set her eye on further progression and began her training contract in May 2022 under the supervision of experienced Directors Adam Davies and Tim Steele.
Now at the end of her training, Lauren has accepted a contract to remain at Palmers as a qualified solicitor – to the benefit of the department’s clients and Lauren’s colleagues.
As an experienced in-house construction expert, as well as a qualified barrister, Lauren brings an impressive blend of knowledge and ability to the team. Her new role will allow her to progress further and build her own caseload.
“I’m excited to see where being with Palmers long-term will take me,” said Lauren. “Training here was great for me because I was exposed to such a variety of cases and the experience of our directors.
“Working in the construction department in particular is hugely exciting because it’s one of our specialisms.
“We work on a wide range of complex issues with many different clients, so no day looks the same as the one before.
“Thank you to everyone who supported me during my training.”
Lauren’s appointment comes as the firm is making significant investments in its commercial law offering, including the expansion and refurbishment of its Commercial Hub in Basildon.
The construction team will be based at this location to achieve a seamless integration with other areas of commercial work and better serve its diverse client base.
