A leading South-Essex based law firm has sponsored a prestigious local volunteer award.
Palmers Solicitors, which has offices in Basildon, Thurrock and South Woodham Ferrers, sponsored and took part in the judging of the Inspirational Role Model category at the Basildon Council Volunteer Awards.
The award was won by Carol Franklin who was nominated for her work in support of the Steeple View Community Centre.
Lee McClellan, a Partner at Palmers who helped judge the category, said: “The judging process was exceptionally challenging, with a large number of truly inspirational entrants.
“Carol stood out for the sheer range of the volunteer activities she takes part in, from the Community Kitchen, to helping with the Duke of Edinburgh Award and football coaching sessions for younger people.
