Palmers’ trainee qualifies as a solicitor

Palmers is proud to announce that its trainee solicitor, Matthew Johnson, has qualified as a solicitor as of Monday 1 September.

Having read law at the University of Kent in Canterbury from 2006–2009, Matthew went on to complete the Legal Practice Course with a Distinction at the College of Law in London. Prior to joining Palmers in September 2012, he spent a year working in the personal insolvency department of an insolvency practitioner’s firm where he primarily handled bankruptcy cases.

Matthew joined Palmers as a trainee in the firm’s Company Commercial Law department. Now that he is a qualified solicitor, he will continue to advise and represent clients on commercial and corporate issues such as corporate finance, contracts and intellectual property.

BJ Chong, a Partner at Palmers and Head of the Company Commercial Law department at the firm said: “Congratulations to Matthew. We are very proud to have Matthew as part of our team and wish him every success for the future. He has worked extremely hard to get to this stage and we know that he will continue to achieve success throughout his career.”
