Essex-based legal practice, Palmers Solicitors, has retained its Lexcel accreditation for 2023, following a rigorous assessment exercise.
The comprehensive evaluation was conducted in accordance with the guidelines set by the Law Society and The Centre for Assessment Limited. It included numerous Palmers Solicitors staff in virtual meetings and a review of the firm’s internal policies, procedures, financial controls, HR practices, and business management strategies.
Palmers Solicitors’ result of zero major non-compliances is a testament to the practice’s continued commitment to the highest standards of practice management and client care.
Highlights of the assessment include the practice’s robust financial management, providing the capability for data-driven decisions. Palmers Solicitors’ Management Committee, comprising of the Practice/HR Manager, the Director of Finance, and two Directors, was commended for its enduring effectiveness.
The introduction of the new HR management system, “HR Locker”, was credited for improving the practice’s HR functionality and management versatility. The practice continues to prioritise staff welfare, with notable investment in welfare packages such as the death in service and cycle-to-work schemes.
Palmers Solicitors’ annual risk review, praised for its insightful analyses and strategic risk assessment, coupled with the updated Firm-Wide Money Laundering Risk Assessment, further attests to the firm’s proactive risk management.
The firm remains committed to continuously learning from client feedback. Its online client survey results, some of the most detailed the assessor had seen, provide invaluable data for analysing trends and ensuring high-quality service.
Gina Newman, Practice Manager at Palmers Solicitors, said: “We take great pride in being a well-run practice with the highest level of rigour in our internal procedures.
“Ultimately, these make for a better, more robust service for businesses and individuals across Essex, while our team benefits from improved welfare and working conditions.
“We are delighted to have once again been awarded Lexcel accreditation.”
