In the run up to the festive season, we have been rewarding children’s Christmastime rhymes with a poetry competition for local schools.
The firm once again teamed up with Rayleigh Primary School, for the competition.
Aspiring poets from years one to six were invited to pen Christmas-themed verses, with prizes on offer for the top three in each of years one and two, three and four, and five and six at each school.
In a separate festive competition, we asked youngsters from Treetops School, in Grays, to design Christmas cards for our firm.
We were overwhelmed with the high standard of entries. Certificates and prizes were awarded to the following children:
1st – Devon Hart
2nd – Makenzie English
3rd – Charlie Pitt
4th – Hameerah Amzah
Kimberley Portas, Project Manager at Palmers Solicitors, said: “We were very impressed by the standard of the children’s work, and it was really difficult to choose the winners in each age group at each school.
“Reading through the poems and looking at the fantastic card designs have been a great way to get into the Christmas spirit and feel festive.”
