Essex-based legal firm, Palmers Solicitors, has made a major investment in its services to local people and families with seven new additions to its Wills, Trusts & Probate team.

From early-career colleagues to established professionals, the department has been one of the firm’s fastest-growing services, bringing new skills and perspectives to the team.

Jai Kalidas joins the firm as Departmental Director, with a diverse career in private client work that has seen him specialise in Court of Protection and trust work, as well as working with older clients and those with dementia and related conditions.

Jade English and Sabreena Grewal come on board in Solicitor roles, specialising in Wills and probate, and Lasting Powers of Attorney and estate administration respectively. Wills, trusts and probate specialist Vikram Bhaker also joins the team as a Legal Executive.

In the department’s support team, Paralegal Eloise McIlwraith and Junior Legal Assistant Jessica Beackon are putting their invaluable skills to the test to enhance and optimise the firm’s client offering.

Jennifer Hitchen also joins the firm’s Dispute Resolution and Contentious Probate practice.

Donna Smy, Supervising Director in the firm’s Wills, Trusts & Probate team, said: “This is a hugely exciting time for us at Palmers Solicitors, with so many new faces and skills in the team.

“I’d like to extend a warm welcome to everyone who has joined us, and thank the entire team for sharing their experience and knowledge with new colleagues.

“As we grow, investing in training and new skills gives us the opportunity to develop the services we offer to clients and deliver an exceptional standard of advice and practical support.

“The community will always be our top priority, which is why we’re so proud to expand the teams that work most closely with local people.”
