Palmers got into the Jubilee spirit by holding a free competition for young visitors to a local fete.
Staff from the firm’s South Woodham Ferrers office ran a stand at the Diamond Jubilee fete at South Woodham Ferrers Village Hall on 4 June. As well as sponsoring the event and handing out balloons and goody bags, Palmers also ran a competition inviting children to guess the name of a large toy rabbit.
Five people correctly chose ‘Elizabeth’, with their names then being entered into a prize draw. The lucky winner, Charlotte Jones, was invited to Palmers’ South Woodham Ferrers office where partner Tim Steele presented her with the toy rabbit.
Tim said: “As a firm, we believe it is important to give something back to our local community, particularly at a celebration such as the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, which brings so many people together.
“Our competition was hugely popular but, of course, there could only be one winner. On behalf of everyone at Palmers, I would like to congratulate Charlotte on winning Elizabeth.”
