Essex-based Palmers Solicitors is proud to announce that it is sponsoring the Basildon Well-being Hub that launched on 20 October and was attended by the town’s mayor.
The hub, which was set-up by social enterprise Motivated Minds and is hosted by Basildon’s Char-Latte Bar, aims to act as a central point in the town to inspire individuals to achieve and fulfil their potential whilst living healthier, happier lives. This is to be partly achieved through workshops covering topics such as:
- anger management
- body image
- confidence
- money management
- stress management
On the launch day, Palmers’ Lara Murray, an associate solicitor at the firm, went along to sell raffle tickets and provide information in order to raise awareness about this new community resource. For the raffle, Palmers donated a £20 HMV gift card and a Laura Ashley luxury gift set. Other prizes included a bottle of champagne, a box of chocolates and a Toni & Guy voucher.
“I chose to get involved because I believe that the services being offered by the well-being hub will be of great benefit to the local community, by helping people feel happier and achieve more,” said Lara. “I already volunteer with local schools via the Basildon Business Education Consortium and I have seen what a positive result volunteering has. This is another way for businesses to put something back into their local community.”
