A South Essex-based law firm has served up a range of creative confections as part of a charity fundraising effort.
Staff at Palmers Solicitors, which has offices in Basildon, Thurrock and South Woodham Ferrers, held a cake sale as part of Macmillan Cancer Support’s coffee morning initiative.
A total of £194.06 was raised at the event, which was organised by Associate Executive, Nicola Tubbs. The event was attended by a number of the firm’s staff as well as around 25 clients and contacts.
Carey Jacobs, a Partner at the firm, said: “I’m delighted that we’ve been able to raise so much for a very deserving cause in Macmillan. Nicola did a wonderful job in organising the coffee morning.
“We are always looking to make a positive contribution, and our Macmillan coffee morning was very much part of that.”
Macmillan Coffee Mornings take place across the UK to raise funds for Macmillan’s work with people facing cancer. In 2015, the initiative raised a total of £25 million.
