Firm backs search for education excellence

Palmers is giving its backing to a council awards scheme that recognises and celebrates excellence in Thurrock’s schools.

Thurrock Council is currently inviting nominations for its Education Awards. There are 14 categories, which highlight the achievements of teachers, head teachers, school teams, support staff and governing bodies in sharing their effort, enthusiasm and talent.

Palmers is sponsoring the Aspiring Leaders category, which will go to a nominee who has shown the commitment and drive to lead.

Nominations will close on 19 September and the awards will be presented on 28 November at the Backstage Centre, HighHouseProductionPark, Purfleet. More information on the awards, and a nomination form, can be found here.

Palmers’ partner BJ Chong said: “Education and learning play important roles within our firm, which also has a strong reputation for a committed, forward-thinking, proactive approach.

“We see these as qualities that are also found in successful educational leaders, which is why we are delighted to support the Aspiring Leader category of the Education Awards.”
